JOIN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS...
The GNLM Board of Directors is looking for enthusiastic individuals willing to fill the position of Secretary or Vice-President at the museum. Directors on the executive committee would need to support museum operations including attending at least 6 board meetings annually. Directors are entitled to vote in matters regarding the museum and are responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the museum.
GNLM SECRETARY: The Secretary is a member of the executive committee and shall record and keep the minutes of all Membership, Board and Executive meetings and distribute them as required by the Board. Additionally the Secretary may also be required serve on various permanent or ad-hoc sub-committees with an appointed chair. The Secretary would also be called upon to support the museum as their skills see fit. Ideally, the Secretary is an organized and efficient individual with keen communication skills.
GNLM VICE-PRESIDENT: The Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President in the President’s absence. The Vice-President is an ex-officio member of all sub-committees. The Vice-President would also be called upon to support the museum as their skills see fit. The Vice-President should ideally have an appreciation in the area’s heritage and want to support the museum’s mission of preserving it.
Both Secretary and Vice-President positions would entail roughly 5-10 hours of commitment per month. For information on the museum and its mandate please visit our website.
